Our Story…

Fielder Training Center exists because of a dream and a desire. The owners saw a need within their community and started a plan on how to make the need a reality. In February of 2020, Jay and Krista sat down over lunch (the 20th anniversary of their first date) and began discussions on how to build a facility in Pearland that could service the training needs of youth athletes. As the wheels began to spin a little faster and things started falling into place, primarily Jay meeting Bill and Luanna Fielder, and further discussions of how to convert the Fielder’s warehouse into an indoor baseball and softball training facility. The discussions stalled as quickly as they started as the world came to a screeching halt. The COVID-19 global pandemic swept across the United States causing non-essential businesses to cease operations for an undetermined amount of time. The world literally stood still. The plans for Fielder Training Center fell victim to this as well and the original plan of opening the facility in the Fall of 2020 slipped away. However, Jay and Krista were determined and would not be deterred! In August of 2020 talks resumed with Bill and Luanna about the timing of opening the facility. The decision was made to have the facility ready for operation by Spring 2021.

Fielder Training Center opened the doors to their first customers on February 11, 2021 (just in time for Spring baseball)! The first night, there were over 100 people who came through the door. Not only was Fielder Training Center a reality, but the assumed need that existed became very evident by the number of patrons to the facility within the first week. The excitement felt everyday by Jay and Krista about seeing their dream become reality is indescribable. One thing is for certain, as the saying goes “an idea without action is only a dream, but and idea that is acted upon…” Welcome to Fielder Training Center, the epitome of a dream that was acted upon. We pray that we serve you well for many, many years to come and that you’ll be more than happy telling everyone you know about this great little facility where the owners know their customers by name.
